The Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy, or UDRP for short, is a policy under which domain name disputes are resolved. Under this policy, a “UDRP Complaint” is filed with an arbitration forum such as WIPO or NAF, and a panel or panelist familiar with the UDRP rules hears arguments from both sides and then makes a decision.

Domain name disputes that arise under the UDRP are usually resolved much faster and more economically than traditional litigation.  One reason is becuase the time and expenses for filing or responding to a UDRP Complaint can be estimated much more easily than traditional litigation.
